I found a number of films in my attic this weekend, which include some photos an incredible trip I took to Benin about 15 years ago. They've not been processed, so I definitely want to do it although just digitally scanned.

Anyone know where might be cheapest to do this? I've found it for about £7 a film, but I seem to remember that getting them printed was way cheaper than that.

Also, where the hell do I take them? Found a couple of places online but as I said, they're quite expensive.

Thanks in advance.

From what you have said I'm guessing your films have not been developed? If they have been stored in your attic for 15 years there is a good chance that the heat will have degraded the film and the pictures may not process very well.

That said if you do want to develop the film I send all of my colour film to be developed at https://filmdev.co.uk/. It's £6 per roll to develop the film and get medium resolution (3090x2048) scans back. Your negatives are then posted back to you.

Edit: I'm not sure if they will take disposable cameras. If you do decide to use them, it may be best to check if they take them before sending them off.

Thanks very much. I've emailed them so we shall see how they feel about disposables. I believe Boots and Asda (no idea they did photos) will take them, but I think you have to find a store that does photos and I'm not sure that my local ones do.

I would have thought they would be able to do them, so long as the disposables have a C-41 based film in them.

My local Asda does do film development but they won't do digital scans, only prints.
