I want to give MS Project a whirl to keep track of some things. Girlfriend is a student so I'm hoping to get a small discount. Ideally I want to evaluate it first before laying out a ton of money.
Quite often if you buy a book on how to use MS project you get a trial version (3 months in my case I think) to try it out? Would this be enough for you?
e.g.
"Planning and Scheduling using MS Project 2010" by Paul Harris. This is a very useful book as it gives hands on excercises. I have installed 60 day trial version of MS Project Professional 2013 and learning the tool using these excercises."
