Hello, my girlfriends parents need a new PC which will strictly be used for internet browsing and word/excel etc.

Theyre never gonna need anything fancy, nothing to upgrade etc, it just has to be the cheapest possible. A budget of £150 to £200 absolutely max.

They already have a monitor and keyboard etc, but if you guys could put together somethign that includes a new monitor (17" would do) and keyboard for that price, Im sure theyd appreciate it.

Is there any point going with custom built at this kinda price or is it better to jus buy store ones?

It is possible I built some for work for £160 (no monitor etc) but not from OC :( unfortunately. They tend not to stock cheap low end parts.

Better to buy a pre-built from a big chain. You'll get a basic pc with basic warranty. It's that or go the second hand route,I've bought some great bits of kit second hand..problem with this route is usually no warranty.
