Hello folks

For components that are closely connected eg CPU, Motherboard and RAM, is there an advantage to getting them all from the same retailer?
I'm thinking of worst case scenarios wherein something doesn't work properly, often it can be difficult to divine which of the aforementioned components are at fault, and perhaps it is the connection between the three that may be causing problems. In which case it might be more convenient to return all the items together to the same retailer for testing etc.
Basically I'm getting most of the components for an upcoming build from Overclockers, but I've just seen the motherboard I want elsewhere for much cheaper. For some components I don't mind if I use different retailers, but I thought it might be wiser to get the fundamentals of CPU, Mobo and RAM from the same place.
What do you think?

Thanks

If you have previously purchased from OcUK you could ask them nicely to price match, providing it's from a legitimate etailer.

I would say its unlikely a company is likely to take all your bits back and test them all to see what is wrong.

If OCUK are likely to price match, then great, first I've heard of it. Otherwise I would shop around. there are daily / weekly deals to be had, and it makes sense to take advantage of them IMO.

I agree to shop around, but is an additional tenner on a part worth the hassle of dealing with a place with poor customer service?
