Rubbish thread i know, ok, position is that you need a dinner jacket and trousers for a function tomorrow night. The quality doesnt matter, everyone will be drunk before it gets a chance to be seen.

Options i have:

1) ASDA cheap one? (do they still do these?)
2) Tesco? (do they do cheap dinner jackets?)
3) Moss Bros Hire, centre of oxford, PITA.

:/

Erm the cheapest option would be borrow one of your, dad, brother, friend, work mate, neighbor etc

EDIT: Don't think Tesco or ASDA do them. Matalan is a good shout below, other than that Moss is your only option IMO - Oxfam / charity shop might have on in, there's actually one for sale in my local one (no I am not a tramp before anyone asks!)

Moss Bros looked eeeexxxxpppeeennnsssiiivvvveee http://www.moss.co.uk/pws/hire/express_delivery/express_01.html

I'm suprised you don't own one Jez.

I do, long story. Left it at another house over in Bristol after another function.

Hence i need a 1 night only suit, it wont get used again (although i guess if the ASDA ones are ok - if they still do them?) it could be used for events like tomorrow night where the quality wont show.

Yeah charidee shop deffers, as long as you're average or so suit size, 40-42 shoulders 34 waistish, there's normally a bunch of stuff available

crisis averted, my mum has found an old one in the darkest depths of my dads clothesroom which is pretty much bang on size wise (must be ancient!) Have to trust her that it looks ok, i'm sure its better than an ASDA one anyhow.

Spot of luck, that. Sorry it doesnt help you HarryPainful :p

Jez if you do get stuck though BIG asdas do actually do dinner jackets, the one near manchester city's ground for example (huge) does them i noticed the other day!

Yeah the Asda local to me, does dinner suits. Doubt there any good though. Also M&S retial outlets are fantastic for cheap suits.
