Cheapest way to get Office365 (legit)?

What's the cheapest and best way to get a subscription to Office365 (or whatever it's called) these days for home use?

Only really need Outlook, Excel and Word.

It's £44 at the moment on Amazon, is that a good deal? I don't particularly want to share with random others.

If you're not in a rush you can usually get the 6 user version for the same amount which is great to share with family.

There's nobody in my family who I'd need to share it with

What about Open Office? Free and a good all-rounder.

if you have access to the Microsoft Home Use programme through your employer.

It's a good shout but I've checked that and it's a no go. I suspect that's because we're still fully on prem with no plans to change.

I bit the bullet and bought the one year licence from Amazon for £44.

No students here and as I said in my first post, the main reasons for wanting it were for Outlook, Excel and Word.

As it happens, the limited Outlook functionality under macOS means it doesn't do what I want anyway so it was a wasted purchase really.

I got my Office 2019 in the beginning of the year with a huge discount. I just went to official Microsoft link mentioned already here and checked their list of official retailers. Then I got to each one of them and found the local shop that was the cheapest here. Unfortunately a year after I don't remember the name, otherwise I would have shared it with you straight away. But you can do the same, and who knows, maybe you'll get a better deal.
