Cheapest way to get one day cover?

As title. I'm looking at a C36 AMG tomorrow, and so far all companies I've tried to get a quote from will not cover the car for a day. I have DOC 3rd party on my insurance, but the seller is understandably nervous about this, hence I am looking for fully comp for a single day.

HPI check 7 day cover seems to have many conditions, and in some cases this includes the car being under 10 years old, thus excluding the C36.

Has anyone here had one day cover for an older performance car in order to be able to test drive it? If so, who with? I'm drawing blanks here. :/

You'll have to just convince him to let you drive it third party, it's a £3.5k car not a £60k Range Rover, plus if you've got the cash for the car on you then you can agree to a 'you break it, you bought it' test drive. Therefore if you do write it off, its your problem?

Call your insurance company and ask if they can extend your cover to fully comp for the C63 for a day?

Haven offer short term policies, including 1-day ones. Not cheap though.
