If I had the problem then I would. Activation can only be done by MS anyway.

Not entirely sure why the tech support guy would say that.

It's actually not easy to by a Full version of XP home.

I've been looking for a while now and everyone just sells OEM versions.

I bought mine a while ago and it cost 149€ for XP PRO OEM.

Its really easy, just walk into a high street office store and you can get it off the shelf.
