Hey basically im repairing a rig for my sister, the rig is low end I3 with integrated graphics, the only thing i need to get for the rig is the PSU, now i was wondering whats the cheapest PSU i can get that would do the job, 550w would be enough but they range in price from £10-£80 so i wanted to know if i brought a cheap one £25-30 would it still probably work fine on a integrated rig?

im a uni student and i repaired the rig entirely for free replaced motherboard etc, so money is not abundance for me.

thanks in advanc

Just take the cheapest branded PSU. The Coolermaster one suggested by BuToNz is on a this week only offer for £29.99 currently, so just go with that one.

so you suggest a PSU with lower wattage that costs more..?

It is the PSU i would advise in this situation. Value PSU's need more consideration as you need to see where the company has skimped - and i trust the Corsair value psu's more than any other value psu.

There builder series is actually a pretty poor PSU and I wouldn't trust the coolermaster one either.
The OCZ is the best for the money.

It is luck of the draw sometimes anyway... I know people who have had really nice corsair PSU's blow up, and people who have been running cheap generic PSU's for many years without trouble.

When i bought my OCZ PSU, everybody flamed me and told me i should have bought a corsair or a coolermaster... I am so confused :D
