Hello looking for a cheapish gaming build for my nephew.

Don't need os, kb, mouse or monitor etc only a tower

Was thinking along the lines of a pentium g3220 ( allowing upgrade at a later date )

And possibly a 750ti or amd equivalent

Wouldn't be looking at anything state of the art but games like minecraft, starcraft 2 and team fortress 2. Plus any new games at lowest settings and my brother has been informed that pc gaminhg on lowest settings is more or less the same as current gen console gaming.

Would also prefer something that can be upgraded in 12-24 months when need be

Thnx dunno how I forgot the budget lol. Reason I mentioned the g3220 is we just happen to have one spare lol and going by a lot of previous posts a dual core intel appears to be a better cpu than a 4/6 core amd cpu

I think it depends on what you're going to be using the PC for. The dual core would be great for an office build, but quad better for gaming, hex/oct for photo's & rendering.

is that not a bit overspec for a a 12 year old??? it will be basically light gaming as in the original posting, minecraft and TF2 etc and for watching movies on and apps like spotify etc etc.

nothing ground breaking needed hence why i asked about the 750ti or amd equivalent for basic gaming needs
