I have had a friend ask for some help building a cheap gaming machine. His budget is $700 (AUD) this might be able to be pushed out a bit and all he wants is the base unit and no OS. He plays WoW but has interest in other games too.
Prices over here are perhaps a little cheaper in comparison to England a 120gb Samsung EVO can be had for $99 and a AMD 270X $229. Exchange rate is roughly 1.8.
Currently I have a system pretty much as shown below with the exception of the memory being Kingston ValueRAm 8GB and the GPU being the Gigbayte 260X OC edition which is $5 more. The system is currently priced at $854 over here with room to sub parts in and out to save cost.
