Hi all, cut a long story short, bought COD Ghost, installed, had errors, gfx card didn't meet spec, can't play the game.
Problem: Need a Gfx card that will run Dx11 and will work on my below (in the sig) spec.

I OC'd the Q6600 to 3.0Ghz so will meet minimum requirement for CPU.

I plan to upgrade my system in March once I get my bonus so didn't want to spend too much now as I may go from Intel back to AMD due to cost and spec.

So a good'ish Nvidia PCI-e 1-2Gb card under £150 would be appreciated.

Thnx in advance.

well, i have a pretty good pc but having tons of issues with Ghosts to the point that i just gave up and not going to touch it unless they fix it.

i have turned all the settings down but the game still doesnt run smoothly on my rig.

so just a heads up there

I was told to get a Amd 270x at that price range.

The best Nvidia you can get for £150 is a GTX 660.

For £190 you can get a gtx 760 if you shop around.

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the comments and recommendations. I've had a look at some of the performance mentioned about the cards above and looked at YouTube vids running those cards and I think the minimum I could get away with and not have lag or quality issues in the video is:

Gainward GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost Golden Sample 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £134.99.

I could go for the GTX 650 at £80 but that's total scrooge and who ruin the game with lag.

Thanks again all :)

The PowerColor 7870 PCS+ that varkanoid linked to is noticeably quicker than the 650 Ti Boost, and cheaper too.

Sorry but I thought this was an error as this is an AMD card which works on the ATI chipset and I have Nvidia in my P5Q Deluxe. I know some mobo's can take either card nower days but didn't think you could put an ATI board into an Intel based mobo. Or am I wrong?

Yes you are wrong. The AMD 7870 should work fine and is a lot better than the 650 but its down your personal taste whether you want nvidia or AMD.

Also the P5Q is crossfire compatible. ie you can have two AMD cards of the same GPU running for double the power.

Also looking at your sig a bit more RAM would help too.

Really? A single 780 ran it smooth as butter for me. I had to turn off sli but one card was perfect

GTX 660 is worlds better than any 650 model.

GTX 670 is worlds better than GTX 660.

You get what you pay for in this price range.

I actually have a GTX 660 (OC edition) sitting in a box doing nothing, but no members market access yet so zzz
