Cheapish upgrade

Currently got:

ATi 9800Pro 256Mb
Intel P4 3.2Ghz Extreme Edition
1Gb of ram
Dell 2001FP

For the moment it is running games fine at 1600x1200 but there are a few that make it struggle slightly such as CoD 2, Dark Star One.

I know I could run with lower graphics but thats not the point. I dont want to do a full upgrade yet since that will mean new shutte, cpu, gfx, ram etc so im looking for a way to extend the life of mine for a few more months, with a view of playing Supreme Commander, C&C 3 on it

Depends on your budget but:
Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-088-LT)
£123.32
and poss another 1GB of RAM. Would get better value out of PCI-E cards but a 7600 GT is mucho faster than a 9800 Pro and if your happy with the performance of that at 1600 x 1200, you shouldn't have any problems with a 7600 GT

Not horrendus amounts but will to spend the cash to extend the life of my current box.

Does the 7600 have SM3 as id like that as well
