cheapo board for conroe?

what would be the cheapest board to setup for a conroe 6300 system. will not be overclocking so doesn;t need to be top end stuff.
is there an asrock board up to the task?

gfx card being used will be x1950pro.
 
been looking into this tonnes myself and to be honest

Asrock ConroeXFire-eSATA2 for £63.44 seems pretty reasonable - only cheaper ones ive found are really poor mATX pieces of ... from abit and asus

just my opinion - cant say ive USED any of the three but it would seem that the asrock is a pretty nice board
 
yea that asrock board seems to be cheapo and up to the job. and my local shop sells it for £55 inc vat. looks like i may as well give it a try.
 
no don't, please just don't... asrock = cheap and nasty, i have a nf2 asrock board and it's a piece of **** i can't use hardware sound cause it just plays beeps, over clocking potential is nill, the board layout is tbh, stupid
 
Trust me, the new Asrocks are far better.

Pick either of the Conroe ones, you can't fault them, hardly overclocking boards but rock solid, stable, and well laid out.
 
either that or a gigabyte S3 sounds good. S3 overclocks very nicely indeed too although i know you arent looking for that.
