Morning OCUK,
I have seen cheapass CAD software in places like Maplins and Sainsburys along side things like "Learn how to Type" and "What's your family tree?"- you all know the type of software I'm talking about.
But I'm wondering if the cheapo CAD software is any good for 2D modelling and basic 3D modelling like you see in the project log? I would be planning on having a play around on the software to get a feel for how it works and basically teach myself how to use it, as it would be useful at work as a few computers have some form of CAD software on them. At work I'd drawing top down mock ups of junction improvements etc based on accurate geometry. Would the software for £7 be too basic for that?
Do all CAD software have fundamentally different GUI making this a pointless exercise?
