Cheapo second monitor

Hey guys,

im ordering a cheap second monitor for Discord etc..I have looked out a long enough HDMI cable, the monitor supports both HDMI and DP..

my main monitor uses a DP cable, will it matter having HDMI on the second one? rather than both DP?

If its 1080p 60hz either will do. Any higher you might need to consider what hdmi spec you are using for pc, cable and monitor.

There should be no issues, especially that you're likely to run into the refresh rate cap on the screen before you do on the cable.

I’ve got two on DP and one on HDMI and no issues what so ever.

Gaming on the DP one and discord / browsing on the hdmi one and it’s absolutely fine.

Had to tweak the brightness slightly but think that was down to the monitors being of different brands rather than different cables.
