Checking NVRAM after CPU upgrade

Hi, I've recently had and solved ( thanks to the people on this site ) an issue, the problem was my CPU so i have recently purchased an "AMD PHENOM2 X6 1090T Black Edition" upon installing this I got the fabled "Checking NVRAM" message upon boot, it freezes there and even though I have read through many relevant threads here and on other sites I have had no luck getting past the BIOS.

I have tried :

Removing the BIOS battery,
Flashing the BIOS by the jumper,
removing and replacing all RAM, my GPU, HDDs and power supply
changing the RAM settings in my BIOS to their T2 standards.

I'm at a loss... I've paid out the arse for a new CPU only to be kicked in the dick...

Also when I start up the computer I can tell if the ram is performing due to the red LEDs on them, the first time it is started nothing happens, the computer could sit there forever, however if I restart it by the front, everything kicks into action and it will get to the BIOS screen.

POST messages shows everything up until "Checking NVRAM.."

Could this well be a Motherboard issue? as my previous issue was RAM/CPU related also and it could well be the Motherboard that's at fault?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

with the first boot not working and having to reboot have the cpu and memory got enough voltage going to them.

daft as it sounds , when you removed the bios battery did you follow the recommended procedure for your mobo, just sometimes i've found mobo's to be a little arsey.

I've tried supplying the correct voltage to the RAM but not the CPU.

Also having no idea about the "reccomended procedure" for my motherboard I can only assume I did not do it after removing the battery... can I find this information on the motherboards website? downloads and all that...
