I will be buying this Thursday and was wondering if you guys would have a look, and give me any advice etc.

I intend to download and use windows 7...how easy is this to do?
I'd also like to set up my hdd in raid 0 - again is this possible before installing the operating systems.

As i wont be overclocking my CPU for a fair few months, is it worth holding off the cpu cooler and just using the normal one?

just to note, i feel the above system gives me good gaming performance, and the route to upgrade in the future (12 months)
with the aid of extra ram and crossfiring the graphics card.
 
It is very easy to download and install windows 7, just make sure you do it from a microsoft site

as far as raid 0 it is possible to install the os on a raid array, srt up the raid array as per your motherboard manual, during the install, the os just needs to be fed the right driver.

Depending on the age of the southbridge you may or may not need to install an extra driver during the os instal personally with an i7 build in sig and windows 7 RC I did not

also I would suggest going for wd 640 black drives for increased performance

i7 doesnt even cost any more really look here
obviously you can tweak the components but I just did it as an example.
I think I would go i7 over phenom 2 any day
