lol - mine too! :)

That looks like a good spec - it'll be a rather fast PC!

I'd make four small changes personally:

£239.95 £239.95

I'd go for the PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-048-PC) - a little faster and cheaper

HD-036-WD Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 320GB 3200JB ATA-100 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-036-WD)
£71.95 £71.95

I'd change this to the Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3200KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-070-WD) as it's a faster drive

bbK said:
CD-049-SO Sony DWG120A 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM (CD-049-SO)

I'd change this to the NEC ND4551 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer LabelFlash ReWriter (Black) - OEM (CD-026-NE)

CA-008-TG Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-008-TG)

I'd change this to an Antec or Enermax PSU

Hope that helps! :)

All good, the Dual Core X2 4400+ is the pick of the X2 CPU's.

But definitely go for the faster & cheaper PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB GDDR3 over the 7900GT OC.

As for the burner i would get the Samsung SH-W162C 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) (CD-068-SA), which is a very quiet burner over the Sony.

Do you need the SLi mobo noww that you've changed your mind to an Ati card? Perhaps a crossfire mobo instead
DFI LanParty UT RDX200CF-DR Crossfire (Socket 939) Motherboard (MB-017-DF) or one without either SLi or crossfire if you dont plan on adding another card.

Yeah, if you're going to get the X1800, dump that mobo as it becomes pointless. If you stick with the 7900GT, you can go SLi later on. Choice is yours.

or
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-131-AS) if you do. Perhaps someone could comment on this board better than i as i'm not sure how well the crossfire is working on Asus boards atm.

I wouldn't have changed to the DFI motherboad personally - the ASUS motherboard is one of the best that you can get. It's stable, fast (faster than the DFI) and it's still a good clocker, although not quite as good as the DFI

It isn't pointless buying an SLI motherboard and an ATI card if you only ever want to use one card. You have another 16x PCI-E slot for whatever you want - a second graphics card for more monitors perhaps? SLI later on with a graphics card upgrade?

The chipset fan on the DFI motherboards is also very noisy. At least you didn't go for the DFI Crossfire board - this isn't a nice board

It'll still be a nice PC but if you can change it do!
