Hi, Going to order next week and want a few opinion and recomendation
I am new (noob) to overclocking and plan to learn how to with this forum, so far I read that opty is the best for overclocking and is causing quiet a stir around here. I am planning to build a gaming PC, I usually leave my PC on for long hours 24/7
But here what I have in mind:

CP-151-AM AMD Opteron UP 165 Dual Core San Diego 1.8GHz 2MB Cache (Socket 939) - Retail (CP-151-AM) 1
£224.95 £224.95
MB-131-AS Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-131-AS) 1
£124.95 £124.95
MY-094-CS Corsair 2GB DDR XMS4000PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3 (MY-094-CS) 1
£124.95 £124.95
GX-048-HT HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-048-HT) 1
£279.95 £279.95
HD-015-WD Western Digital Raptor 74GB WD740GD 10,000RPM SATA 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-015-WD) 1
£93.95 £93.95
CD-026-NE NEC ND4551 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer LabelFlash ReWriter (Black) - OEM (CD-026-NE) 1
£27.95 £27.95
CA-005-TT Thermaltake VA9000BWS Kandalf Full Tower - Black (CA-005-TT) 1
£99.95 £99.95
WC-014-SW Swiftech H20-220 Apex "Ultra" Watercooling Kit (Socket 462/478/LGA775/754/939/940) (WC-014-SW) 1
£128.95 £128.95
CA-008-TG Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-008-TG) 1
£59.95 £59.95
MO-022-SA Samsung SM-913N 19" LCD Monitor - Silver (MO-022-SA) 1
£159.95 £159.95
HD-046-WD Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-046-WD) 1
£59.95 £59.95
Subtotal £1,385.45
VAT £242.46
Total £1,627.91

So far I am still usure about the RAM, Mobo, GFX card and PSU (nearly the whole lot)
For the RAM I have alternative option to either go for
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 (MY-079-CS) £140.94 Including VAT this week deal (note: I not sure what the timing bit is about, but will learn over the weekend) any other recomendation?
Mobo I heard DFI is good but heard it doesn't like Corsairs...
GFX, I guess the other brand is the same thing (connnect3D, HIS, Powercolour) all roughly same price

Noise is not an issue for me, and I dont mind if you change the whole PC specs again

This is a good CPU, especially if overclocking.

If it was me i would go for the Samsung SH-W162C 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) (CD-068-SA) £23.44 , which is very quiet, unless you really need Labelflash?

Thanks man for speedy reply, I still abit iffy with Mobo Ram combo, any other alternative? Ram I can stretch my budget abit more if I have to... I want best bangs for bucks I guess. This week deal for RAM looks ok to me, not sure which to get (dont know what CAS3 or CAS 2 mean, can only assume it got to do with speed and lower lantency?) I dont mind alternative brand ram too
Reading what I've wrote, Its sounds like I want the Best rig for an Opty 165 :p :p

Mobo is good, id stick with it.

As far as ram goes, Cas 2 / 3 refers to latency of reaction, or the amount of time required for the first memory access.

If you want tighter timings go for ..
G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit (F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX) (MY-007-GS)
£152.69 Including VAT
