No gaming/overclocking whatsoever. This will be in a meeting room, dual display to a hdmi projector. I would like it to be fairly quiet too as not to distract. There won't be much data storage, so the 120Gb SSD will be fine. And I'm thinking of trying out a Linux distro (Zorin) to save on the OS.

Anywhere that can be improved or money saved? Thanks

Hi.

There is a bundle here - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-010-AS&groupid=2833&catid=2836 - cheap board so lacks a front USB3.0 header and has DVI+VGA if that is good enough? you can get a DVI-HDMI cable.

And without a GFX card you can easily get away with this Superflower PSU - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-001-SF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2057

And this SSD - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-011-SH&groupid=1657&catid=2101&subcat=2103

In addition to these suggestions, this RAM is also a couple of bob cheaper and although worse on the timings for the speed, the B85 chipset only supports 1600Mhz RAM anyway

(If you don't go for the bundle of course)

Did you actually need an i5?

Also you may have to find another board, one that is in stock - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-466-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2576

YOUR BASKET

Then add a CPU.

I've been asked to build one that will not need to be upgraded or replaced for many years. So I didn't want to skimp too much.
It will be recording audio, playing videos and having group skype calls at the same time. So I'm guessing it would need to be a good multitasker

I see.

But that still doesnt sound all that intensive.

Yes.

It has low+high speed fan controllers for all three fans, sound deadening applied to the main panels.

It also has a removable roof cover so if you dont want fans blowing up and out the roof you can cover up the holes and prevent dust from falling in and also reducing the sound.

can't order until Friday as it has to be passed by someone first, so might all change if there are any new deals on Wednesday
Thanks Stu. And Shivy.

Yes my original account is all sorted now thanks :)

So Geil instead of the Team Elite for a quid less.
Antec psu instead of the superflower

Worth upping the i5-4460 to an i5-4590 for the sake of £7?
