hhhmm, that is a lot of gear.

What is the little Seidon All-in-one for?

That fan controller will be on its side in the case so the writing will be odd.

2 X SSD correct?

Do you already have GPU waterblocks?

You'd just need to shave about £250 somewhere to fit 2 x 980s in which would be even better for 4K gaming. The 1TB SSD for instance... going mechanical there would be a massive saving.

Holy huge budget Batman

Do you plan on going 3 way sli ? If not then I would go with the 5820K and a 750W psu.

The Crucial MX100 SSD's are way better value. Get a couple of 512GB and a 256GB and save some money there. The 850 pro (As nice as it is) is way overpriced imo.

The Gigabyte G1 will match the build better as it is all black. If you are watercooling the gpu's ? then you could go with an EVGA card as it doesn't void your warranty when you remove the cooler.

I'm getting the AIO so i can boot the pc and see whats/what before looping it all up. just saves time just incase.

what im planning for the fan controller is mounting it reverse inside the case. that way i can leave the plastic fascia plate on the case so you cant see it from the outside.

and yer 2 x ssds. Now im not sure if i should ditch the 256gb SSD and get a Samsung XP941 256GB M.2 stick for the OS. its £50 more but twice the read/write speed.

980's are £120 extra each + the waterblocks on top of that £80ish. I'm looking at £400 more for not that much extra gain.

At the moment 970's dont have water blocks which is annoying.

the reviews i have seen show that tri-sli dont gave any gains when @4k. in some cases the fps is worse and there is more lag inbeween the fps causeing spikes.

Mayhems x1 clear 5ltr is there and i dont think dye it worth it. the tubing is coloured and if im lighting the res then is it not better to have clear coolant?

I have no idea, I haven't done custom water cooling before, All-In-Ones is as far as I've ever gone.

Kingston do some 2400MHz RAM that's still dark (maybe not black black) but they do have tighter timings.

Yer i was thinking about the Gigabite G1 cards, what do they clock like? Are they better at clocking then the MSI cards? i know that Gigabite can draw more power if needed so thats a good thing.

As for the CPU im thinking future proofing, 5930k is going to hold out a lot better than the 5920k im thinking.

I would go with the 5820K then if you only plan on the 2 gpu's. The extra pci-e lanes on the 5930K won't make much difference.

If you only want a cooler to test the system, then just get a cheap air cooler like this Raijintek.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Raijintek Aidos Direct Contact CPU Cooler £14.99
Total : £20.96 (includes shipping : £4.98).

The Gigabyte overclocks pretty well from what I have read.

OK tyvm switched over the AIO to the Raijintek and i switched over to Gigabyte cards.

As for the the cpu i know where your comming from and what your saying makes sense however i waited for almost over a year to get the cpu so im going to stick with it. I know its fairly self-indulgent but i dont mind. :p If i wasnt fussed about the 5930k then i would most likely i would go for s 4790k and save a fair amount of £££.

White and orange fittings.

How about all black instead.

Yer all black did cross my mind but i wasnt too sure how dark it would look like or how the lighting would effect it. Really i didnt want to do white/orange as its been done plenty of times before but i couldnt really think what other colours would work for a pc build.
I did think pink and white, that might look pretty nice.

just seen you ment fitting and not colour scheme. Doh...

this comes in at thesame prise as the 5930k build.
980 reference + waterblocks.

also just checked EKwb and they seem to be making a waterblock for the MSI gaming 980. which looks like it might be worth getting instead.

What do you think would be better? a build like this or my original build i posted @gaming?

For gaming I expect the Z97 build to be quicker.

Yer your right bout that. Games are going to benefit more out of the higher clock speeds on the 4970k than the 2 extra cores on the 5930k.

However do you think Games will start to benefit more out of the extra cores in the next 2-3 years and with DDR4 only to get faster and the extra PCI-E lanes would the 5930k be a better investment for gaming in the next couple years.

I'm struggling like hell with my desire to have the latest tech over the more practical tech... :o
