I hate to have to make this sort of thread, but here goes...
anyone tell me if there's anything wrong with this conroe system im about to order?

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (252.57)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160GB (46.94)
DFI Infinity 975X (Socket 775) (152.69
YS-TECH FD128025HD 80mm Fan - 4 (4.11)
Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (260.79)
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 (135.07)
Asus DRW-1608P3S 16x16 DVD±RW (28.79)
BenQ FP91G+ 19" (160.92)
Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W (64.57)
Logitech Internet Pro Keyboard (10.52)

I already have a case, speakers and mouse I want to keep.
Something I was a little worried about not working was the motherboard and the ram...it only says on the dfi website spec-sheet that the motherboard works with 533 and 667 - surely it would work with 800?

Ah, i just realised the benQ monitor is out...anyone know any good ones for roughly the same price - are the OcUk branded ones worth getting?

You're best of asking in the monitors forum section.

I would personally spend the little extra on a 7200.10 hard disk. Its not just extra capacity, but better performance too over the 7200.9.

I'm in agreement the 7200.10 is worth getting

Ok, cool - do you know of any 7200.10 hard drives around that price? they all seem to be the higher capacity ones, and I dont really need masses of space...
you recon the ram will go ok in that motherboard?

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-079-SE)

Price: £52.50 (£61.69 Including VAT at 17.5%)
Well worth the extra £14.75

The RAM you picked out should be fine - looks like a bargain to me.
