Hello. I've made a couple of changes to my spec and I was just wondering if you could check it over for me..? With regards to my PSU, will 450W be enough to handle this rig?

And if you think anything else should be changed... My budget is 1000.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kind regards,
-Alex.

You could save a little by dropping the PSU to a 430 - 500W model, unless you're planning SLI i can't see you warranting the 620W.

Hey, thanks for you're reply! I've edited my post and made a few changes to try and get my budget down a bit...

Does everything look OK to you guys? I'm not exactly going to be playing the most demanding games (Microsoft Train & Flight Simulator) so do you think I should get a cheaper graphics card and spend more money on something else?

Also, is 450W PSU going to be sufficient for running the above without any problems?

I'm also going to be doing a bit of music production on it as well...

Thanks again for your help.

Kind regards,
-Alex.

P.S. I WON'T be overclocking either :)

Just one more question I'm afraid guys! I'm a novice when it comes to computers so I want to make sure I'm spending my money in the best way possible! :)

As I'm going to be using the above components for gaming and music production, it will mean that the computer will be on for long periods of time so will I need some kind of cooler to be included with the above rig?

Many kind regards,
-Alex.

- 1 x rear 120mm Tricool fan (standard) with 3-speed control to balance quiet with cooling
- 1 x front 120mm case fan (optional) 25mm thick
- 1 x 92mm fan (optional) in the air duct to cool the CPU
- 1 x 80mm fan (optional) for graphics cards
That is what the Sonata 2 lists for the case, so I'd suggest getting a fan for the front intake (rear appears to be included), wouldn't bother with the others myself.

The retail cooler isn't bad really but you would get more mileage and lower temps out of a higher quality one, worth asking for suggestions in the overclocking & cooling forum perhaps :)
