whats everyone think, planning on clocking the 175 to about 2.6 on air/stock volts, gunna see what i get on stock cooling first then go for some aftermarket.

any additions/changes that any recomends, pc will be used for serious gaming... and thats about it

Looks solid mate, but I would avoid the Maxtor as the 10 series have been troublesome & noisy. Something like a WD, Seagate or Hitachi would be a fine choice. Seagates come with 5 yr warranty, others are 3 yr.

Even if your planning to use the stock cooler (it's actually quite good), i'd still buy a fresh tube of arctic silver 5 for £6.

Yup, that's Sata-II.

The Western Digital 250GB has 16Mb cache too, and is used in the top OcUK pre-built systems :)
