Hey,

Will this spec run the latest games fine (MTW: 2)? Im not to sure on the graphics card or the case and PSU. Im looking to spend under £500

The CPU should be fine beacuse it has 1MB cache, and the 1GB can be upgraded at a later date.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 90nm (Socket 939) £123.32
Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra Motherboard £64.16
GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS2.5 £64.57
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO 512MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI £111.57
Samsung SpinPoint P 80GB SATA-II 8MB Cache £35.19
OcUK Value Estar 7799 Case With 400W PSU £29.73
Liteon SHW-16H5S-15C 16x Lightscribe DVD±RW £32.02

Total £460.56 (All Prices inc. VAT)

Thanks,

i dunno about that case, i'm guessing the PSU is fine, but i doubt it will let you upgrade too much in the future (unsure). as for graphics cards, i would stretch to an 1800xt or 7600GT, or if you want a bit more power x1900GT or 7900GT.
if your going to be upgrading your RAM at a later date i suggest you buy 1 1GB stick, instead of two 512mb sticks. thats about it. hopefulyl some1 else can help you...

a x800 series card like the one you said could handle it , but the 512mb onboard is overkill.. for your particular price range this card is best.. : BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-025-BG)

I'd change the PSU and case since you have a little room in the budget, it tends to be a false economy getting a cheap PSU. Something like the Antec SLK3800BUK or Antec Sonata II would still be within budget and offer a better quality PSU and the cases will probably also feel sturdier(I don't know for certain about OcUK cases but other inexpensive cases I've used have felt a little insubstantial although that might not be a problem here).

Other than that the specification is pretty decent for the budget, I don't know what MTW:2 is but the system should cope with most games.

Yeah that looks nice mate. Will go for that.

I wouldnt recommend getting an OEM Cpu, ive had a bad experience with them, had an amd 3200+ barton OEM lasted me just over a year ( 1 year 1 month) before it burnt out, couldnt send it bac cause of the 1 year warranty with OEMs
