It's my dads new pc, the old one 'has gone funny'. I'm going back at the weekend to build it.

Its a shuttle to replace the old shuttle (sb61g2). They like the compactness.

Id love to repeat the 1 hour he spent explaining all the problems, but basically it seems like its pretty much on the way out. Random lock ups, won't boot at times.

It is 6 years old, nothing really worth salvaging for a new build. Its got a northwood cpu and ddr1, a 120 gig hard drive and a 6800 AGP graphics card....
 
oh you know it! it even has an annoying fan whhirrring sound that changes pitch every 5 seconds.
