Hi I really cant get my head around the connection stats on my Be router can anyone confirm if my line should or could run faster from these stats?

Link Information

Uptime: 0 days, 0:08:16
Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,265 / 12,554
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [KB/MB]: 234.00 / 1.59
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 12.5 / 26.5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 7.0 / 6.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / µ
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 13,512
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 15,840 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 19,894 / 0

Anything I can do with them to make them better?

Many thanks.

You aren't going to get any faster unless you've got some dodgy wiring to eliminate. Try plugging into the master socket, no phones, no extensions, no filters.

As your line is interleaved, you could ask for it to be put on fastpath and possibly get 1+ meg more. The only downside is, is that you could then suffer disconnects if your line becomes to unstable.

Unless I'm missing something, disabling interleaving won't increase the SNR margin ergo nothing will change?

If you could be bothered, you could try pushing the target SNR margin down, but you're definitely risking more instability there. As I suggested before, check your wiring first of all.

Checked the wiring in my house and its all over the place. The main feed comes into the front bedroom, into a junction box were one cable goes into a wall socket there and the other wire travels down to the front room were I have a BT master socket. This is wired just as another socket in the house(the wires connect to the face plate not the socket itself). With the faceplate unplugged my connection goes up to 15meg and download speeds are 1.5mbps(compared to 1.2 before) and thats with the router connected to any socket in the house. It seems to have taken the snr margin down a touch. Looks like at some point it will need rewiring properly. At the moment I have removed the gubbins from the socket in the front room and put it back together. Everything is working fine and the phone still rings:).

Here my link info no

Thanks for the help. Can anyone explain to me what I have done now I have removed the insides of the face plate and if it will have any negative affect.

Thanks for the help guys.
