Check my Conroe upgrade please.

Buggering about a lot but im kinda made up on the following items, but still looking into it, so if anyone had any view would be appreciated.

Intel Duo 6400

Asus P5B Delux (damn ive just seen how many recommend the Giga DS4)

GeiL 2gb 6400 800mhz


Thats what iv got so far, anything else I should consider?

Yes...mobo could also go for a DS3/4 an E6300 if you want to save some bucks...all very good and a good cooler like the scythe ninga.

Edit: make that a Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler (HS-000-SB) due in anytime and considered the best.

I would get that instead especially if you are overclocking....

a) the only difference is a few hundred mhz at stock speed between e6300 and e6400

b) the gigabyte board is cheaper and will do the same as the asus

c) RAM= great choice

Thats what i LOVE to hear good cheaper ideas.

so i can go for the 6300 and clock it? ( i assume the cheaper verion is just the CPU with no HS??)

its really then between the DS3 and DS4, can anyone tell me what the difference be? or is the ds4 just better suited for overclocking?

Sorry should add ive got a good Zalaman HSF, so to save on the pounds was going to use it. Unless of course their is a really BIG difference.
