Been asked to build a PC fgor my brother and came up with the following:

  • Motherboard only one i can find really rather spend a bit less:confused:
  • Memory ok ? can only afford 1gb atm
  • graphics card ok again budget here :(

rather spend as close as £500 as possible but still a decentish spec.

thats fine u can always add it to later....

u can get one of the asrock mobos they cheaper, but not so good if ** planning on overclocking...

u can get a 6800 gfx card from a well known competitor for £40 ;)

Seems ok , one way you could cut down the price is to get slightly slower DDR2 Ram , like PC2-5200, you most probably wouldnt notice the performance drop unless overclocking , and you could afford a gig more easily :) - Also that GFX card is ok , not the best , but a good deal :)

thanks, so how does the 7600gs comapre with the 6800 ??

brother mainly uses to surf the internet / watch films and play occasional games, but wants it to last a while.
