I am at the point of replacing my three year old dtr notebook and have decided that this time around I will become deskbound again. I plan on making the machine myself and from having a scoot around this site have picked out the following. I am hoping you guys can tell me how I can achieve a better bang for my buck and of course if I have missed out anything vital or put together anything incompatible/nonsensical. The goal of the machine is three years gaming before I have to grind my teeth lowering the settings on all the games I play (mostly mmo's).

The Dell monitor is a late addition and I am still umming and ahhing over whether or not to opt for Viewsonics 28incher.

I've spec'd a single GFX card as SLI and CF seem imho to be a waste of money against the returns you'll get!

Some things I didnt have a preference on so I've left them the same as your selection.

You can overclock the Q6600 quad CPU to 3GHZ easy so you will save a few hundred pounds! Have also listed a better CPU cooler for you :)

Hope some of this helps?

Peace :)
