Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
Corsair Obsidian 650D
Corsair Hydro H80 High Performance
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit

My current parts that will go in the new rig:
XFX 5970 BE
128gb SSD
2x500gb harddrive
Samsung Blueray Drive
Zalman PSU 1000W

So what you think will they all work together and more importantly be awesome together?

I was just about to say something like "The only thing that you need now is a newer graphics card" (going solely on the series number) and then I looked at this :| why is the 5970 better than the 6950?

the 5970 is basically 2x 5870s(slightly underclocked etc to reduce the heat produced and what not) in one card).

any particular reason for going for the corsair h100 over the h80 or antec kuhler ?

no real reason to go for the 15000 memory over the 12800, due to the way the 2500K overclocks.

£1 difference between the 8gb crucial memory so i thought i might aswell go for the better one.

H80 vs H100 is there a big difference or not?

Gonna hit the order button (maybe) in a min on the following items:
Corsair Obsidian 650D
Corsair Hydro H80
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit
2X Akasa AK-FN059 120mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan - 3/4 Pin
Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable

Im gonna buy the rest of the parts in the OP either next week or the week after. As long as i order it and built before oct 7th when RAGE is released:D

Im just hovering over the order button, i need a push:p

*Push!* :P

Building for Rage and other upcoming games as well, most excited. Can you let me know what the 650D is like and if the noise issue has been sorted? As far I'm aware it has. Rather tempted by that case as well..

Well i just hit the order button:D I have the following on its way:
Corsair Obsidian 650D
Corsair Hydro H80
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9
2X Akasa AK-FN059 120mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan - 3/4 Pin
Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable

All i need to order now is the motherboard and cpu, which ill get next week or the week after.

While im waiting for the gear i thought id ask about the overclocking. Im pretty new to it, ive only oc my current amd system and never tried it with intel. Ive done some research basically i do the following:
1. Press the autoclock button and bam instant overclock:D:p or to do it yourself increase the multiplier and the vcore (never higher than 1.35-1.38) when you need to.
2.Check temps (coretemp program) run a stresstest program (intelburn or prime95)
3. keep going till stable and temps are ok:)

Is that right?

Also with running the stress test programs how long should i run them for. Ive read some members run prime95 for 4 hrs or 8.
And some members use intelburn and run it 5 times in a row.
What should i do?
