Hi i'm looking to build a new core i7 build for demolishing current and future games, it'll be used for encoding too. I've specced this up so far, does it look ok or do i need to make any amendments to the shopping list? Will all this work ok in the p182 case? I haven't built a pc for a few years now so i'm a bit out of the loop!
Thanks in advance :)

I would get the i7 920 and overclock it, save some money.

Asus P6T Deluxe Intel X58 Motherboard - £247.24 inc VAT
Intel Core i7 920 2.66Ghz - £229.99 inc VAT
2x Zotac GeForce GTX 260 "Maxcore" - £425.48 inc VAT
Antec 300 Three Hundred - £50.59 inc VAT
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 - £114.99 inc VAT
Thermalright TRUE + Thermalright LGA1366 Bolt-Thru-Kit - £43.68 inc VAT

You might want a better air cooler if you plan on overclocking it, preferably one that uses a backplate.

Maybe a Noctua NH-U12P, or a Thermalright TRUE with a 1366 bolt through kit.

Thanks for the replies i'll check them out! I got the i7 940 as it was part of a bundle on ocuk, i'll see if its cheaper to get the i7 920 and the other bits separately.

SAS drives are lightning fast but still too expensive even for the performance increase. Also on a similar note - the price difference between a good Samsung F1 HDD and a WD Velociraptor doesn't reflect the performance difference.

You can save shed loads of money without compromising performance.

I second what people say about getting the 920 with a good CPU cooler such as the Thermalright and overclocking yourself.
