Ok, never built one of these before, but should be fun! Just need to check if all these bits will work together, or if I have missed something glaringly obvious:
Leadtek Winfast DTV2000H Hybrid Digital & Anologue TV Tuner Card (GX-084-LT)

Silverstone Lascala SST-LC11M HTPC Case (Silver) (CA-010-SV)

Gigabyte K8N51GMF-9 nForce 6100 Micro ATX (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-042-GI)

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA3000BPBOX) (CP-117-AM)

Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 200GB 2000JS SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-048-WD)

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1300 256MB DDR2 AVIVO TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-108-SP)

Crucial 512MB DDR PC3200 CAS3 (CT6464Z40B) (MY-024-CR)

Sony DDU-1615 DVD-ROM (Black) - OEM (CD-020-SO)

Akasa Rounded Ultra ATA133/100/66 IDE Cable (0.45m) - Metal Braided (CB-020-GE)
It will be used for playing music, watching DVDs/MPEGs/freeview TV, and occasional web browsing/MSN.

A couple of things I wasn't sure about - will the cards fit in the case, I know it comes with a riser card for AGP and PCI, but not PCI-E, but from looking on the Silverstone site, it looks like full size cards will fit anyway.

Secondly, does anyone know how loud the fitted fans are, and how loud the stock AMD cooler is, or is it worth getting a 3rd party one.

Many thanks for any help, and recommendations will be appreciated!

I would upgrade to 1GB, and possibly go for a faster CPU, if you're interested in HD (scaling does require more CPU power) As for the case stuffed if you want want to add full PCI and PCI-E graphics cards, you can only add one type with a PCI or PCI-E riser. So I would buy another case, ie Antec 2400 (style wise, it's higher) Also uses a standard ATX PSU so can fit quietest one possible.

btw I use an Asus CSM, 3700,1GB, 6150 onboard, 250GB WD, Silverstone TJ-08.

I would use the onboard 6150 until you need another, dunno about that exact mobo but if it has VGA and DVI out don't need anything else..I would wait until HDCP compatible VGA cards are released (perhaps HDMI output?)

The stock AMD cooler is silent 1600-1800rpm, 2500+ and it's a bit noisy. I would use Cool and Quiet, drop CPU fan to low, and see what you think. I'm using the heatpipe from the 4400+ in the 3700+, however the 3700+ is silent too.

Not really worried about going for HD, the output will probably be a belinea 20.1" tft.

The onboard graphics only has VGA output, which would be fine for the monitor, but if i wanted to put it through a TV i guess i would need a DVI or S-Video, hence the extra gfx card!

If there is a better motherboard which could be recommended for it, with VGA instead of PCI-E then I guess that would be easier, as I could use the included riser-card.

I would like to stay with that silverstone case if possible, really like the look of it.
