70 pounds is the max id like to pay for the 6g ram i want. 1150 is my budget and ram and dvd drive brings me to 1155 so thats fine. Just wondering if all the components are the best in my budget.. as this is gonna also be my first build

Personally I would download a copy of Windows 7 (free & legit) to use as your OS - it's gonna be good until 2010 - and spend the money you save on a 4870X2. Then you can put a few quid away each month until the retail version of Win 7 comes out.

instead of the XFX 4890 there is a ASUS for the same price and it has 950mhz clock instead of 850
