Ah shucks :)

Also those Akasa Ambers are deadly quiet... have 5 or 6 (lost count) installed on my computer and I only get a slight humming... I would consider partitioning your spinpoint, for the OS and the gaming unless you have a HDD already at home, and if your willing to splash out a little mybe go for a Raptor 36Gb just for the OS, but thats just my spending streak in me coming out, but that spec is turely really good

Yeah this pc will be for gaming mainly so i'll make a partition for the OS and leave the rest for gaming. Work etc is done on another pc. For the OS what do you recommend? XP Pro or XP Pro 64bit?
 
I love the spec wish I could spend that much for a PC.

Let me know how the keyboard and mouse mat are thinking of getting them both.

XP 64 wouldnt make much of a difference on that spec. So save a bit of money and go for XP Pro
 
Just normal Windows XP Pro... as your going dual core, and did you know that home edition does not support multicore... if I remember right... little trivia for you there... I dont think Windows XP 64bit is worth it since by the time you will really need a 64bit OS Vista will be fully out and kicking!!!

Will do mate :) And I won't mess it up! (Hopefully!) I'll do it calmly and smoothly :p and it's going to get cooler soon so yay!

You going to be OCing it?

Ah right thanks Stelly, XP Pro it is then :p. Was 80% (very accurate :p ) sure that i should use XP pro as the OS. Thanks mate

Yeah mate, hope to do so. That's why Im getting the Thermaltake BT and the Zalman VGA cooler. Found out that changing the cooler on the graphics card will void the warranty :o So im going to use it for a bit and then if it's all fine and dandy, i'll change the VGA cooler to the Zalman

One of the reasons I went for a custom water cooling setup :)

Beenom please do realise that the moment you take off the standard VGA cooler on your ATI gfx card you invalidate the warrenty

Yeah I know :( . Thats why im going to keep it at stock for a while and make sure that there are no problems with it. And when i'm confident that it's all fine, i'll put the new cooler on.

:p Im sure it'll be fine though :). They don't have the menacingly high death rate as the 7900GT? I think it is ;). It'll be fine mate :)

XP Home will do (unless you use/need this)!

What Home doesn't support is multiple processors, i.e. mobo's which take 2 processors or more (if any). A Dual-Core CPU is considered as 1 processor :mad:

The only thing that attracts me is the remote desktop thing, but then you can use any freeware software for that! So XP Home or Pro hmm will decide later! Also thanks for the software suggestions, I'll "invest" in them now ;) :p
