To be honest i've been away from pc gaming for a very long time and finally decided to give it a crack again. Its only going to be used for gaming, web browsing and music but its not going to be ground-breaking.

I know you get this a lot on here but is what i've chosen going to be suitable for a casual gamer, will it run crysis ok? lol

Any suggestions will be great, I can't really afford to spend any more than 800-850.

My suggestion is get a better screen and graphics card, scale down the CPU. I'll go make you a spec based on this premise in a second.

Wait for cmndr_andi's spec, but one thing I notice is you have 4GB of Ram and 32bit Vista. Get the 64 bit version

Excellent, thanks. I did think maybe go for the overclocked dual core rather than quad? I've never overclocked before which is why I was going for one that is already done.

I did mean to put 64-bit, must have clicked the wrong one, oops

Hi, here is my suggestion:

Its a touch over budget, if you need to get it under £850 swap the HDD for this.

Should play games rather well and the screen will make everything look lovely.

If you want to try your hand at overclocking, a cooler like this would be a good idea. 2.8Ghz should be more than enough for gaming, but with a cooler like that you should be able to push it to 3.5GHz+

Nice one, thanks for doing that for me. I take it with either setup I wont have too many problems running the high-spec games?

Both specs should run new games at high settings very happily.
