Not being a nvidia fanboy but it might be worth looking at the 260 max core for that kind of price. The three hundred is a really nice case for the price.
 
the 4870 outperforms the GTX260 in almost all aspects, so stick with it.

i would say get a 1GB card unless you are not willing to budge over the specific 4870 model you have chosen
 
Agree with above, go 1GB if you can, particularly if you're running at high resolutions, not sure what monitor you have?

Other than that, really good spec for £550, nice one.
