Hi

I'm looking at doing my first build and think I have settled on the spec below.

Will it all work together?

I'm thinking of doing some air overclocking (nothing extreme this is also a first) would I be better off with a Tuniq Tower? Would this fit ?

All advice gratefully accepted.

You could save £50 by going for the E6400. Apparantly there's not much difference and they both overclock well. Just an idea though - don't have one myself.

And I believe the Tuniq comes with some TIM, so unless you really want it, you don't need the AS5.

wow, nice spce, you've done this before or you done a lot of reading on the forum.

Good luck with it mate.

A lot of lurking asnd reading :)

Kinda nervous about the building part and still not quite got my head around the overclocking but I hope that will start to make more sense when I am actually doing it

Thanks will do :)

Will be a while yet though, I'm having to get the components over a period of a couple of months. I know I'd save money on delivery by saving up but I know I'll just blow the cash if I try that :(

Plan is to leave things like the processor and gfx card as the last purchases as I think they are most likely to drop significantly in price.

If you wait, then you get a chance to test it all together from day 1. Under the distance selling regs, within 7 days you can return all the parts as 'not suitable for purpose'. Up to 28 days I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you can return any broken items direct to the retailer (which I had to do on a recent build) and they will send you a replacement straight away. After 28 days then you have to return it to the manufacturer, a significantly longer, more drawn out process.
