No reason for the DVD drive, would you recommended something else?

I'll take a look at Crucial memory, the only thing is I'll have to get rid of the bundle.

The DVD Drive just seems a little expensive when you can get a SATA one slighlt cheaper.

The Crucial 5300 Memory is very good stuff and no problems overclocking.

Thanks for the spec stickroad!

He's found his original XP Pro disc so it looks like he's got some spare cash. Budget is now £800.

In that case, hows this, very similar:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
Noctua NH-U12F Heatsink
Asus P5B Deluxe (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Dual Channel Kit
Samsung SH-183LBEBN 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial ATA Lightscribe
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer 7.1 Soundcard - Retail
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM X2
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS Aluminium Midi-Tower Case - Black

Total : £701.30

Thier you go, just changed the CPU Cooler, slightly better in my view and added two 250GB Hard Drives in their for him and maybe set them in a raid0 Config. :D

Nice stickroad! Looks like an awesome spec, I wish I had the £700 to buy it :P

I'm sure my mate will be very happy with that.
