Check my spec

i might be buying this week, before Wednesday, so any suggestions with this spec would be appreciated.
I've already got the case, antec 1200 and the psu, corsair tx850W, and dvd writer. The budget was 1000, but ive managed to get things down to 700.
For the gpu i was thinking of the geforce 285, but would the 4870 be as good? i might be upgrading to a 24" monitor later on in the year so would it be worth buying a higher end gpu?

Certainly don't bother with a 285 - it's 10-20% faster than a 4870 1GB and twice the price! If you've got spare cash, why not buy two 4870 1GBs?

Have you had any problems with the OCZ ram and the Asus mobo?

I havent got any storage yet, im buying something small and cheap which will do me until i get some more money for a bigger hdd

kinda torn between the 4870 and 4870X2 now

im leaning towards the 4870X2 but im thinking its a bit of an overkill if only playing it at 1920 x 1080, or is that all good? plus i might be going up to 24" later on..

what does bottleneck mean? sorry
