Finally the time has come for me to build a PC, I have got a case and CPU cooler and my budget is as low as possible for a fairly decent build. Looking to overclock it a fair bit so it lasts a while!
What I have so far:

MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Dirt3 PC Game £209.99
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail£161.99
MSI P67A-G45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** MSI P67A-G45 £99.98
XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply X
£54.98
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £49.99
OCZ Vertex 30GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-1VTX30G £45.59
Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (0F10383)£42.98
Samsung SH-D163C/BEBE SATA 16x DVD-ROM (Black) - OEM £12.98
£690 or something close

i would suggest you change the hitachi deathstar *cough* deskstar to the samsung spinpoint which is cheaper, and just as fast.

also, go for the sony opitarc DVD RW

other than that, it all looks good. just make sure you have the mounting kit for the 1155 socket or the 1156 socket (they share the same mounting mechanism).

oh, do you think 30GB will be big enough for the SSD? it will fit windows on it, but you almost certainly wont get any of your common programs on it

Thanks, Ill do those changes - I thought I'd price a computer up tonight and order it tomorrow and I don't know why I chose the Hitachi!
I also might change the 30Gb for a 50Gb then maybe buy another in the future but at some point I need a new mouse/keyboard/speakers/screen when I next get paid!
