Hello all,

If you have been following me (Doubt it), you will know I am building a Gaming PC. I already know how to build one, and have checked all the parts so they match and fit but I really would like for someone to double check to make sure when the parts arrive, it haven't wasted time and money. Here is the list:

Case:

(RAM is slightly different but same speed, GB and make).

I will keep everything at stock speeds, in my eyes there is no point overclocking, but it is always nice to know you can!

Any Suggestion would be amazing and just to clear stuff up, I don't want to go down the AMD path, its personal choice. Oh and please don't say anything about the specs I already have, I won't be taking anything out, i'm going to give it to my family because i'm nice :P

Thanks

JCX50

RAM: RAM you picked is seriously overpriced you will get exact same performance out of ones in below

:MBOARD: motherboard again, the z77x-d3h is all you will need and more and is 45 quid cheaper on sale

if you have no intention of ever going SLI then larger PSU isnt needed can get lower , better quaslity one, like so

and you can mix and match as you like could get i7 with gold seasonic psu or i7 with xfx 850 etc

Also as a side note if you have no intention of overclocking the cpu paying for liquid cooling seems abiit much, there are plenty good quiet air coolers for 20-40 quid.

One more option is, if your just gaming 16 gb is not needed now or for a long while so if you wanna spend that little bit extra could get some faster 8gb ram (the faster ram dosent give a huge boost in performance however if budget is there, then why not? )

This machine will also be used for Video Rendering, running servers, gaming and owning noobs on the battlefield. The ram I have chosen is £60 and I won't be running SLI ATM. Might get a higher PSU and I want the water cooling because it looks awesome and I can overclock in the future! Thanks for the advice

What's wrong with your current system? a graphics card upgrade would make it play games just as well as the system you're thinking about spending £1.5k on

I have always wanted to build my own machine, its just something I can personally be please of and I can put it on my Personal statement and It is a Unit in my IT Coursework AND a family PC is in need of a replace.

I dont understand why you cant buy 7950 and maybe a PSU to add to your rig and be done with it.

Build a PC for your family for like 300-400 quid with amd trinity setup, put that on your PS.

Done.
