Hi

Can you please check my temps in the screen shot attached

I have not Overclocked my CPU or Memory, all settings are stock, but before I OC I want to know how my temps and airflow are now. Should the top 120mm fan in the P-180 be blow air down onto the Tuniq tower or sucking it out of the case ??

Im not 100% sure but those temps seem perhaps slightly warm for a e8500.
Is that shot taken while the pc is idling?

I use a q6600, so it's probably best to wait for confirmation from a fellow e8500er

As to the 120mm fan ... it's a better idea to have it blowing out the top of the case, to extract the warm air (heat rises).

Side note: can you link to where that wallpaper is from. :p

Hi thanks for the replies so far

I would turn the bots on the Tuniq Tower a little more with a tool

What do you mean bots ?

Yes those are the idle temps at desktop

I will try realtemp and post again

ok I have downloaded Real temp and am really confused as they are showing Core 1 24c and Core 2 26c are these correct I am using the newest version of Core Temp and Everest though they are way out compared with real temp

On first screenie I thought those temps were on load not idle, but reading further down seems they were on idle so would be a bit hot for my liking.

Interesting that Real Temp shows them so much lower.

Back to the 'which temp sensor is best' argument.

Well I have only just changed my Cpu from a E6850 sold that to my brother and bought a E8500 now when using the 6850 no matter which temp sensor I used it always said the same though with the Wolfdale the temps seem all over the place very confusing

I had a E8500 and it was being shown as both cores running at 33 Degrees when idling at stock under custom watercooling. Yeah right!! My Quad was way lower than that. Coretemp, speedfan and everest does not read the temps correctly. Realtemp is just about spot on after you have done the calibration (it's all in the realtemp thread).
