Currently have an i5 2500K overclocked at 4.6GHz but i think its time for an upgrade! Just looking for a bit of help on what to get? I game a lot and would also render videos on vegas for youtube/streaming i know the i7 6800K would be better but i just cant stretch that far so was hoping the i5 would do the job as it does already!
Budget is around 400 so what i have is:

I have a water-cooling loop so i thought i would ditch the bundles and use the cooler money on better RAM any suggestions?

I am going to be completely honest the generational difference in performance for things like rendering hasn't been considerable enough to upgrade to a new i5. I would suggest getting your hands on a 3770k and grabbing yourself some more ddr3. Or just stick with what you have and then upgrade to x99 when you have enough money

haha im am also in the process of getting the GPU just waiting on the prices to drop before i go for one, my GTX 670 has done me well but it is struggling with some games now even at 1080p and i have triple monitors so a 1070/1080 upgrade would be awesome! :D
 
I will be upgrading the Gpu at Christmas time when all the Gtx prices have dropped a bit and there's more stock so it's only about the cpu at the moment a may be able to stretch to a 5820k now with a bit more budget so any recommendations on that front? Does 3000mhz ram make a huge difference?
