Check my watercooling components please :D

It's not the published flow-rate you should be looking at but the flow-rate when combined with the components you have. The statistic that matters here is head (pressure).

Yes, I would go with a DDC. get the XSPC reservoir top which massively simplifies things and hugely improves flow-rates. I have one and it's the dog's danglies.

The reason I am looking at the Laing DDC-Pumpe 12V DDC is price, size and a friend of mine said that it was quieter than a D5. If this is true I would prefer purchase the DDC or am I mistaken?

Thanks

The D5 is the quieter of the two as you can regulate the speed which controls the rate of flow and therefore the noise. The DDC is also a great pump but in my experience can be the noisier of the two. I've had quiet and noisy DDCs. Luck of the draw imo where the DDC is concerned.

The D5 does leave a larger footprint but add in an XSPC D5 res and its a pretty neat and compact solution.

From what i've read that XSPC is OK for small loops

Define > Small Loop?

My H2o loop use's a XSPC D750 R/P in a FTO1 case, 360Rad mounted outside rear of case > CPU Block[4.2GHz hotest core 67'c] > GPU-Block[470 OC'd 850/1700/200] Peaks at 50'c, room temp 23'c. Before that l used a 5870 OverClocked as well which peaked at 45'c. The pump doe's vibrate a touch but l mounted mine on 4L shaped brackets with foam padding at the bottom right of case, the pump is very silent. My loop has been up and running at least 10HRs a day 24/7 for 4 months, the pump is still very quiet.

Incase anyone is interested here is what I bought:

Tubing: XSPC 7/16 Clear - 1m
Pump: Laing DDC-Pumpe 12V DDC-1Plus inkl. Phobya Laing DDC Light Plexi
Radiator: Hardware Labs Black Ice Stealth 280
CPU Block: EK-Supreme LT AMD - Plexi (754/939/AM2+/AM3)
GPU Block: EK-FC5850 5850 CF - Plexi
Coolant: Thermochill EC6 Non Conductive Coolant - Red
Reservoir: XSPC Single Bay Reservoir
Fittings: 1/2" Chrome Barbs
Thermal Compound: MX5

Thanks for your help guys, and keep an eye on the project logs section after christmas :D
