Way Back Machine.

This was posted in GD, but I thought I would search for the apples store and post in here, it's quite interesting!

Basically it archives every website on the net, and you can go back in time to see what it used to look like.

The further back plastic / acrylic casing macs are abit "dated" but I'm still drooling over the PowerBooks design (now MacBook Pro)... and that's quite a few years of drool.

Still can't afford a good one yet - but at least my "plastic / acrylic casing" MacBook is at hand and doing a fine job

Edit: Hmm... just made me wonder, will there be a entirely new design for the Pro Laptop range, since the eMac/iMac had changed so many times over the last 5 years where as the PowerBook / MacBook Pro range has more or less looked the same since... *puts wonder hat on*

1998... I remember in 1999 when I got my first Pentium II PC, it was beige-er than that~

My first ever x86 computer was a compaq beige 286 laptop. It must have weighed about 12lb and I think it was only beige because the casing had discoloured.

LOL! A 12" TFT + MacMini probably weighed less than that!
At least your first was a "laptop", mine was a full tower with big big space, cooled by lots of tiny whiney fans and no graphics card - running FiFA'99 and MS words. Those were the time...
