Ooof, that can't have done much good to the car in the first half :p

And that guy was rather lucky then, he must have been a coule of inches/feet from the wall on that spin.

Is he showing off when he lets go of the steering wheel? I can't tell :p

i imagine it's more a case of "**** **** **** **** hope this ends up in the right direction... PLEASE dont hit the wall"

I guess he took his hands off as he expected to hit the barrier. You don't want to be holding the steering wheel when you do as it can have very severe kickback on the wheel.

love the comment at the end:

"Great driving"

surely if he was driving that great it wouldnt of happened in the first place!!

Did the second guy take his hands off the wheel completely?

/damnit, I leave the thread on my browser for ages and THEN reply. Nm

Yup. It hurts.

Lots.

Same chap in both - Looks like he clipped the kerb on the right in the first one and just applied the power too fast in the second.

Too much too soon.

Ive seen a few videos where some rally drivers hold on to the steering wheel in a roll over
Is that what your ment to do in a roll over or are they just not thinking straight

Rollover = hold on the the wheel. You need something to hang onto otherwise your arms will flail around and hit things, which hurts. You will notice that in a rollover the navigator will quickly find something to hold onto too.

Head on = let go of the wheel and take your feet off the pedals. The force of the steering wheel moving into the cabin can break your wrists and the force of the pedal box moving in can break your ankles and trap your legs.
