I was wondering where the money went here then noticed your speakers/headphones cost the best part of £200 on their own which seems pretty hefty pricing.

The system is all compatible is the good news but I've got a couple of questions. Why the SLi graphics cards? You are cheaper getting one fast single graphics card and performance will be about the same. Also why not go AM2? It costs only slightly more but will allow more potential for upgrades in the future should they be needed.

Just a couple of suggestions, feel free to ignore them :)

Tbh, with so little covering am2, and so little choice, and so little background knowledge of it, id rather spec him a pc that will work fully now with no hassle.

So to say I'd rather him not be everyone guiniepig. (sp)

And I know am2 is out, if you havent seen my other thread about me asking adivce for myself moving to am2? :)

And yes one gtx is better than one gt. But I did spec 2 gt's...

AM2 reasoning is fair enough but still why go for 2x7900gt cards when you know that one 7900gtx is as good or better? It adds complication, requires driver profiles and isn't of much benefit unless at very high resolutions.

no am2, he wants a rig now :)

Anyway, looks like a gtx is going in to replace, cheers guys :)

Anything else?

I said its being replaced with a gtx now.

[edited] I have a sore head, didnt mean to sound so nasty :x
