Her Imac isn't cutting it at all, she doesn't really like Apples way of "doing its thing", She's doing on top of her other courses Photography and the mac just struggles with photos etc.

P.S. I have 16gb of DDR 3000mhz new already waiting, just making sure nothing obvious pops up I might have missed, and its been ohhhh a while since I went AMD, my 8500 was the last !

Yeah its DDR4 Team Group TForce stuff, the 5700 although overkill, should last a while and she does occasionally game, I agree on the IPS monitor I think that could be an upgrade later down the line, its a shame I can't stretch that at the minute but if needs be she can use mine Acer X34 ( shes taken residence in the office behind me with her own desk man cave invaded ).

I get the change to IPS etc, but for the extra £40 seems a far better monitor unless i'm mistaken.

I'd also consider getting the 3600x for £22 more. Better stock cooler and higher clock.

Also I'd ditch the two drives and just get one 1TB M.2 ~£90-£100 which is £21~£30 dearer.
